I'm talking about SpaceX. It's been public for a few months now, and I'd been watching it before it was.

I think it can become the biggest company in the world.

And I still think that, at today's price, it's not the time to buy. Let me walk you through both.

That's why a company with no profit can carry a huge valuation: the price reflects the future the market imagines, not the current balance sheet. SpaceX isn't just rockets.

Under the same roof it has xAI, the artificial-intelligence side, merged with it this year.

And it has Starlink, the largest satellite internet network in the world.

When a company does rockets, artificial intelligence and internet from space, the sky really isn't the limit anymore.

Each of the three would be a large business on its own. Together, hard to match.

That's why I think that, over a horizon of about ten years, it can become the biggest company in the world.

It's not a promise. It's the direction I'm looking in.

I think it's big, but right now I also think it's expensive

Seeing far doesn't mean paying any price today.

At the current level, SpaceX still looks overvalued to me.

It's at a local resistance that shows clearly on the chart.

I want to own it for the long term. But first I want to see what price the market gives me, not chase it.

So for now, I'm looking at shorts into these resistance zones rather than at accumulation.

It's a trade that kept me on edge, I'll admit it. I played it with a tight stop, at a small risk, and I tracked it step by step.

The best prices so far were around 104 to 110 dollars. Maybe the market hands them to me again, maybe it even goes below 100.

Whatever price it offers, I'll still end up owning it. Just on my timing and my level, not on someone else's rush.

What Tesla taught me about valuations

Tesla was valued like a monster long before it shipped cars in volume.

The market was looking at what the company would produce years out, not at the balance sheet back then.

It only turned profitable in 2020. About ten years after it listed.

The market pays for the future it imagines, not for today's profit. That was Tesla, and it's the case now.

That doesn't mean every big valuation is justified. It means a company without profit yet can still make sense if its future actually arrives.

With SpaceX I think the same way: I'm not looking at what it earns today, but at what it can build over ten years.

The difference is that, unlike many, I don't confuse „I believe in it” with „I buy it at any price”.

The next big names preparing to go public are OpenAI and Anthropic.

When they do, I expect the same pattern as SpaceX.

A run-up at first, then a correction, then a period of settling. Just like SpaceX.

You can already bet on them before listing, through leveraged instruments available only in certain markets. But those aren't real shares, they don't give you ownership in the company.

I don't rely on those for holding. I just watch them.

When the real listing comes, I'll do what I do with SpaceX: watch what happens after day one, not on day one.
